After years of running their own successful private practices, Cassie and Morgan discovered they shared a common vision — to bring their expertise, creativity, and compassion together. This collaboration led to the creation of a practice built on shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to excellence in the field of speech-language pathology.
Seabright’s mission is clear: To deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention for a pediatric population with communication needs. We believe that exceptional care for children begins with a supportive environment for clinicians — one that values collaboration, continual learning, and work-life balance.
By combining their individual strengths and experience, they have cultivated a practice where both clients and team members can grow, learn, and thrive.
Cassie is a Speech-Language Pathologist, CEO and founder of Seabright Speech Therapy, a private practice rooted in connection, creativity, and care. She entered the field motivated by a deep desire to empower children to find and use their voices—to give them the tools and confidence to express themselves fully and joyfully in their world.
Over the years, Cassie’s passion has grown beyond direct clinical work to include mentorship and leadership within the profession. She loves supervising new clinicians, fostering their growth, and creating an environment where learning and collaboration thrive. She believes that when speech therapists feel supported, balanced, and inspired, they are best able to serve the children and families who rely on them.
At Seabright, Cassie is devoted to nurturing a team culture grounded in connection, work–life balance, and shared joy. She leads with empathy and authenticity, ensuring that every clinician feels seen, valued, and encouraged to bring their whole self to the work. Her leadership philosophy blends professional excellence with genuine warmth—celebrating small victories, supporting one another through challenges, and always finding beauty in the process.
Cassie also brings a creative spirit to her work—she loves to make everything beautiful and to ensure that every child, family, and team member feels welcome, included, and seen. This sensibility influences every part of her business, from thoughtfully designed therapy spaces to the way Seabright cultivates community and belonging.
For Cassie, speech therapy is not only about communication—it’s about connection, creativity, and collective care.
Hi! My name is Morgan Demetras, and I truly love being a Speech-Language Pathologist! The profession chose me at a young age. I was first introduced to the field at nine years old, working in my mom’s special education classroom. It was there that I saw how fun and rewarding being part of an individual's communication journey can be.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals with complex communication needs and empowering families and caregivers through education and training. I find great joy in helping others build confidence and connection through teaching, coaching and collaborating.
As the CFO of Seabright Speech Therapy, I value the opportunity to lead and mentor a talented team of clinicians. I believe that strong leadership and mentorship foster confidence, joy, collaboration, professional growth, and innovation—qualities that strengthen an organization and enhance the quality of care we provide.
Hi, I’m Claire, a Santa Cruz local who feels incredibly lucky to live between the ocean and the mountains. When I’m not working, you can usually find me with my dog, in my garden, making something with my hands, collecting rocks, or teaching cardio kickboxing.
I’ve always known I wanted to work with children, but I actually stumbled into the field of speech-language pathology while working at a group home that supported autistic children and young adults. Many of the individuals I worked with had significant communication challenges, and I quickly realized that their behaviors were often telling me something I didn’t yet understand. Once I learned how to help them communicate what they wanted or needed, the world started to open up for both of us. That experience shaped my entire career.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals from toddlers to young adults across a variety of settings. Currently, I serve as the AAC specialist at The Bay School and also work at Pacific Elementary. I’ve always believed that everyone deserves a voice and a chance to be heard — and I love problem-solving creative ways to make that possible.
I find so much joy in connecting with kids through play and joining them in their world rather than asking them to join mine. My approach centers on working from strengths, not deficits, and finding the unique spark that helps each child thrive.
Karina Pereida is a bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language pathologist with three years of experience, currently serving as an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) specialist. She earned her degree from San Francisco State University in 2022 and has since dedicated her career to supporting students with complex communication needs.
Karina is passionate about helping students find their voice through language aids and communication tools. She finds great joy in witnessing the moment when it all clicks, when a student is able to express themselves and have their needs met. Outside of her professional work, Karina enjoys traveling to different countries and spending time with her family.
I am a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to empowering children and young adults to achieve their communication goals through functional and engaging therapy. I enjoy working in school settings with students of all ages, taking a personalized approach to support each individual's unique strengths and needs. I am especially passionate about supporting children with social language challenges and complex communication needs, including those who benefit from alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
In my spare time, I love being outdoors, going to the beach, hiking, or camping with my husband and our chocolate lab, Levi.
Hi, I’m Ally! I attended graduate school at California State University, Monterey Bay, and after graduating I began working as a speech-language pathologist in my hometown of Watsonville, CA. I’m now entering my second year working in an elementary school setting. I love this career because it allows me to support students’ communication skills while giving back to my community.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and staying active.
This is my 11th year as an SLP, and every year has been an adventure. I love this job because it allows me to build connections every day — connections with my students, families, and colleagues. It also allows for so much freedom and flexibility — being an SLP often feels like a choose-your-own-adventure, and I love it. No two days are ever the same.
Outside of work, I love hiking with my dog and my fiancé (fun fact: my fiancé and I met hiking the Pacific Crest Trail 8 years ago — we hike a lot!). I also love to read, cook, journal, cross-stitch, and strength train.
My name is Nisan, and I absolutely love being a speech therapist. One of the things that I love the most is the satisfaction of feeling like I make a difference in people's lives. I think that the students that I work with, their parents, and the other providers that I work with know that I care about them and want the best for them. In this career, there is a nice balance of having independence and working as a team.
Another aspect of being a speech therapist that I love is being an active learner, which can involve adjusting my approach mid-therapy session to better meet the students' needs, learning more about a specific disorder, or acquiring new therapy techniques.
I spend my free time with my young son and daughter, going to the beach, playing in the ocean, reading, and gardening.
Hi, I’m Brianna! I’m a proud San Jose State University alum and currently entering my second year as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I love being an SLP because I get to watch my students grow in confidence while making meaningful progress—plus, no two days are ever the same, which keeps things exciting!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, exploring new coffee shops, and taking my dog Daisy on beach adventures.
Hello! Although new to the profession, I’ve already fallen in love with being a speech- language pathologist. Bringing the assessment and treatment of pediatrics together while working with a school-based team is like solving a new, compelling puzzle every day! I find a lot of joy in creating unique and creative ways to provide speech therapy to my students and often like to incorporate their personal interests or talents whenever possible. To me, connection is at the root of effective and meaningful therapy. I am always trying to find new ways to build rapport and trust with my students and to create a space which is primed for growth and learning. Sometimes I cannot believe my luck that I get to learn and play with young students everyday!
Outside of work, I love to play board games with friends, practice strength-training, and listen to suspenseful audiobooks. I also recently tried archery and really loved it! Hopefully I will get to do more in the future.
I became a Speech Language Pathologist because I had always wanted to work with children and became inspired by speech therapists after an internship working in early intervention. I love that in this profession you have the opportunity to work with children in an individual or small group setting! Now as a speech therapist I enjoy working with children from birth to 18 years old.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking yummy treats, and traveling! I'm grateful for the opportunity to support individuals and families on their communication journey.
